Black Architecture
Our Evesham scheme is a simple, elegant and economic non-food retail development that optimises land use and provides a flexible terrace of units customer love to shop.
We approach each project with questioning minds and we began this scheme with a full review. This identified an opportunity to increase the quantum of retail space by rationalising the overall planning grid and minimising the servicing yard. The building rises up the site, in three regular steps to balance cut and fill while maintaining flexibility of the units. The roof steps up the slope with three mono-pitch slopes, with deep overhangs to shelter the retail frontage. High specification curtain wall forms the shopfronts to the units, with glass canopies denoting entrances and protecting customers from inclement weather. Black sinusoidal metal cladding to the rear elevation is contrasted with lime render and a green oak timber screen, which provides richness and texture to the principle public elevation.
