Following demolition of the existing property on Brondesbury Park, Willesden, construction work has started on the delivery of a higher density new build set of apartments and three additional family homes on the rear garden site.
The design of the properties has evolved since the initial planning consent was granted to enhance their fabric performance and introduce a low carbon conditioning strategy based around internalised air source heat pumps and underfloor heating in all rooms. Heat recovery to the mechanical ventilation system retains energy within the properties as part of a whole house approach to sustainable design.
Piling is underway along the boundary of the site, with the foundation solution selected in response to the proximity of trees around the site. Work will then turn to substructure, with the buildings beginning to emerge in early 2024.
