The Build Better Now Virtual Pavilion continues to inspire
The UKGBC have partnered with other global organisations to present both practical and innovative ideas on how we can deliver meaningful change to achieve net zero carbon.
The pavilion showcases a mix of both retrofit and new build solutions; ideas that have been incorporated into the work that Black have delivered, demonstrating that with the right client and the will to act, change can be made to happen. Projects for Phoenix, CAFOD and the ICE demonstrate this. The need to reiterate this demonstrates that a broad part of the built environment sector is still failing to respond to the climate emergency. COP26 offers the opportunity for society to demand this change of itself and Government.
Build better now requires behavioural change. As architects we must be courageous and challenge to lead the design process to set this standard today, not tomorrow.
