This year’s CRASH Corporate Patrons’ Reception was hosted at AECOM’s office in London, bringing together a mixture of clients, contractors, suppliers and consultants, whose work benefits hospices and charities tackling homelessness.
Black are involved with a number of CRASH projects across the country, providing design solutions to create new spaces within the charities’ properties that will resolve issues and enhance the lives of those using them. Schemes for the homeless charities, Emmaus Village Charlton and Caritas Anchor House, and the children’s hospice, Helen and Douglas House were featured in a film presented at the reception, reinforcing the value that design can bring to a project. The work ranges from laying out a toilet, to developing a concept for remodelling a whole building.
We are currently designing a chapel conversion which will provide a new arts/pottery studio and workshop, and have commenced on renovating a hospice ward, bringing in design skills from our wider portfolio of retail, hospitality, office and residential work.
