As part of Black Architecture’s commitment to deliver low carbon buildings across Hertfordshire for our clients in the County the practice has signed up to the Quality Charter recently published by the Hertfordshire Growth Board.
The Charter focusses on transparently identifying design solutions which exceed the current sustainability standards set by regulations and ensuring that biodiversity is enhanced locally on all developments with longer term stewardship strategies in place. It also advocates community engagement and the use of the Design Review Panel service to inform the design development process and secure the best available outcome for each project undertaken across Hertfordshire.
Black are also signatories to the End Gas Now campaign, along with other leading consultants and low carbon organisations, delivering on a promise to not work on any projects that include new fossil fuel based heating systems.
