As organisations begin to adapt to the impact of the Coronavirus, the heath and wellbeing needs of the homeless continue to be addressed by Caritas Anchor House.
Planning ahead, a new dining area is being designed by the team at Black, CRASH and VolkerFitzpatrick to complement the lounge space that was completed last year. The dining room will allow residents to eat the meals they have cooked themselves on site and also provides a new central ‘tuck shop’ for distributing donated food. Briefing is complete and remote design workshops initiated to progress the outline proposals.
Social distancing is currently being encouraged by removing furniture within the communal spaces. Later in the year a new dining space will be available that supports the work of the charity and brings everyone back together.
