The Passive House standard can apply to both new build projects and retrofits, offering a holistic design philosophy that embraces all aspects of the building’s construction and operation. The main principles of Passive House include high performing fabric and air tightness which provide future occupants with energy saving throughout use. Part of the professional service we will offer is to identify if Passive House is an appropriate design solution, or if alternative approaches to net zero carbon are more suitable to the particular brief.
