Searching for alternatives to sheet and resin flooring, does Liquid Linoleum offer a sustainable solution?
The Dutch flooring system was elected as product of the month for March by the team at Black, the next task is to test the claims made by the manufacturer to see if this is a product that the practice would specify. Product literature suggests that the material offers the flexibility of an applied system and the environmental benefits of Frederick Walton’s original linoleum flooring. The mix has vegetable oil, cork, wood flour and limestone, and sets at ambient temperature once poured. It also achieves both LEED and BREEAM certification.
The results of the research will be presented back to the practice in April at the next POTM Friday lunch.
