A planning application has been submitted to the London Borough of Enfield to extend an existing office building at Southgate and deliver new residential accommodation.
The proposals will deliver a mix of one and two bedroom dual aspect homes by removing the existing larger format pitched roof and introducing two new floors of residential use. The flat bio-diverse roofed building form responds to the changing character of the area, shifting from a low density suburb to one that fully benefits from the wide range of local services and London Underground Station with fast links into centre of the capital.
The building adopts Black Architecture’s environmental performance standards based upon a fabric first approach to the design of the envelope, supplemented with ASHP, MVHR and PV technologies.
